Working with you - Schools and Education
Wide Eyed Theatre works with young people through after school clubs, schools workshops, assemblies, youth centres, festivals and events.
We have worked with a variety of ages and backgrounds and have found ways of engaging and involving everyone through stories.
We are interested in complementing the current curriculum by finding ways of bringing
storytelling to the classroom. We work alongside teachers to literally illustrate lessons with the power of story. We can bring our stories into the classroom and share the experience or find stories that work alongside a project they may have or assist with inituatives such as SEAL.
We have found that storytelling on a regular basis encourages increased listening, focus and creates a readiness to learn:
“Thou shall not is soon forgotten, once upon a time lasts forever”.
Philip Pullman
